How We Spend Our Days
Total Life Centers

At a Total Life Center the typical day begins with a continental
breakfast followed by such activities as reality orientation, current
events, life review, arts and crafts, music, games, puzzles, exercise
and active games, large and small group discussions, socialization
experiences and other special activities such as pet therapy, musical
guest, etc. Participants enjoy a full nutritional noon meal.  Each day
will be designed to match the individual’s Service Plan and goals, as
established by the participant, caregiver, case manager (if
applicable), and Total Life Center team members. Regularly
scheduled entertainment, parties, devotional services, and seasonal
events provide sensory and social stimulation. Monthly participant
councils are held to get participant input on activities that they would
like to see implemented at the center. Quality care is the aim of all our
activities and services. Activities are age appropriate and designed
with the purpose of getting everyone involved. We desire to help you
or your loved one stay as happy, healthy and alert as possible.

Wellness
Since 1978 the Total Life Centers philosophy on wellness has been
based on treating the TOTAL person mind, body and spirit.  The
programming at each Total Life Center is designed to maintain and/or
improve the overall wellness and wellbeing of the participant. Daily at
each center, participants have the opportunity to take part in a
minimum of two cognitive activities for the mind, two physical activities
for the body, and a variety of other activities designed to encourage
socialization for the spirit.
